It was with great joy that we experienced together this singular event, that of the priestly ordination of Father Guillaume Charbonneau, OMV.
Guillaume hails from Nice in the Alpes-Maritimes region of France. Since his childhood, he has attended the Church of the Annunciation, where the continual veneration of Saint Rita can be found in a side chapel. At the age of 21, Guillaume entered the seminary of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary in Rome, where he studied philosophy and theology. He then continued his formation in the Oblate community at Fontenay-aux-Roses, where he completed the final stages of his vows, including perpetual vows in 2022.
Presbyteral ordination was conferred by His Excellency Mgr Matthieu Rougé, Bishop of Nanterre, on Sunday October 8 at 11am at the Sanctuaire Sainte-Rita in Fontenay-aux-Roses.
