Confessors at Notre-Dame de Paris

Father François Lapointe omv and Father Guillaume Charbonneau omv have been confessors at Notre-Dame Cathedral since its reopening on December 07.

Alternately, one and the other, every Tuesday, when each is assigned to the confessional times, in the morning, from 10am to 12pm.

History shows that the Oblates have been confessors at Fontenay-aux-Roses for almost 20 years. Firstly, because of the availability of Father Gérald Lajeunesse omv, present in Fontenay-aux-Roses from 2003 to 2013, and Father François, who both started as confessors in 2008.

With so many pilgrims and visitors, the presence of confessors is essential. We all know that this is a ministry focused on God’s mercy towards all those who come and ask for this sacrament. A visit to Notre-Dame often opens the door to a closer relationship with God.

Let’s pray for a rediscovery of this sacrament because, let’s face it, confessors are very much present in it, penitents can easily find their way around and they are eagerly awaited.

However, the Oblates of the Virgin Mary are also confessors at St Rita’s shrine. You can refer to the section where the following is mentioned: Reconciliation” with God.
